Board of Directors
Veterans 1st of Northeast Wisconsin Board of Directors President and Treasurer, Kim Nohr, is a recently retired carpenter and home builder of 40 years. He will be our Project Manager and Site Coordinator. He also has extensive experience in the financial aspects of running a non-profit and anticipating operating and building costs.
Our Board of Directors Vice President, Rick Giesler, has over 40 years of experience. He will be our project manager and will use his experience of owning several businesses. He has designed, developed, and built a tiny home village for a local animal shelter in Wisconsin.
Veterans 1st Board of Directors Secretary, Gail was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy taking care of her military brothers and sisters. After being discharged she worked at the Post Office helping veterans maintain their employment rights, safety and health for over 22 years. She then worked at the Brown County Veterans Service office for five years helping veterans obtain their VA benefits. She is also knowledgeable in finding resources in the Brown County Community for all of their needs. She is a Substance Abuse Counselor and a WI Certified Peer Specialist to help with their possible substance needs. She is a Resource Navigator and can help our veteran residents find all the community services they need.
Our Veterans 1st Board of Directors Veteran Mentor, Jeff Reince, is a recently retired Corrections Officer. He has developed a program for the Door County Department of Corrections that helps residents with legal problems to try to overcome their legal difficulties and become productive members of society.
