Union construction volunteers

Veterans 1st has several Union construction trade members on our board who are also volunteering for installation so it will get done right. We have three construction and general contractors who will donate their time and talents to the building of the houses and the Community Center building. They also are offering help with apprenticeship training for those veterans who would like to learn construction and earn hours towards a trades degree at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. The Unions and businesses that will be DONATING their time and some materials include the following:

Martenson and Eisele Inc, Architecture--are designing all the site plans and infrastructure

We have several qualified lifetime construction volunteers who will be in charge of Project Management

Carpenters Union 1146 -- will provide carpentry for the homes

Pipefitters Local 400 -- will install plumbing for the homes

Macco's Floor Covering -- will provide all the flooring and help with installation

Hurkman Mechanical Industries -- will provide heating and cooling materials and installation for the homes

IB Electrical Union Local 158 -- will install the electrical for the homes

Greentech Renewables -- will be providing the solar components and installation for Phase 1 homes

NWTC Trades & Engineering Students -- will construct some of the components for the homes

Operating Engineers Local 420 -- will provide the heavy equipment operations for the infrastructure
