Houses of Honor

Houses of Honor/Salute to Services Donation

In life, we all harbor passions and dreams, often centered on giving back and supporting those around us. Cathy Kohlbeck embodies this spirit. Her passion for aiding others is deeply rooted, with a special softness for those who dedicate their lives to services that enhance our communities, especially the brave women and men in our military.

As a Mortgage Loan Officer, Cathy has consistently sought opportunities to make homeownership attainable for those around her. Driven by this passion, she saw a unique opportunity to blend homeownership with her love for active community service, leading to the creation of the Houses of Honor® program. This inspiring initiative offers Home, Lifestyle, and Maintenance services at discounted rates to community heroes, as a heartfelt thanks for their unwavering support.

Partners of Houses of Honor® are carefully selected for their reputability, trustworthiness, and extensive expertise in their respective fields. They are committed to delivering excellence and ensuring client satisfaction, held to the highest standards expected of Houses of Honor® partners. Beyond providing discounted services, these partners actively participate in volunteering efforts, continuously giving back to the community throughout the year.

Excitingly, Houses of Honor® has recently secured its non-profit status, marking a significant milestone in its journey. This news paves the way for even more opportunities to expand its reach and impact.

An integral part of the Houses of Honor® tradition is the annual Salute to Service Event, which has been a staple since 2017. Originally conceived as a gesture of gratitude towards our military members, often coinciding with Veterans Day, this event quickly evolved into a successful fundraiser. Donations from this event are channeled to nonprofit veteran organizations, amplifying their reach and enhancing support for our heroes. The most recent event successfully raised $30,000, generously divided between two nonprofit veteran organizations.

One of the fortunate recipients of this support was Veterans 1st NEW, alongside Gail and Kim Nohr. Their noble cause focuses on providing housing complete with wraparound services, guiding veterans towards self-sufficiency and a brighter future.Houses of Honor® stands as a testament to the power of combining professional expertise with a passion for giving back to those who sacrifice so much for our communities. Through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and a deep commitment to veterans and community heroes, it continues to make a meaningful impact, strengthening lives and building futures.
