Kim Nohr - President, Treasurer
Kim is a lifelong member of the Local Carpenters Union and was a home builder previous to that. He is our Project Manager and has a Dwelling Contractor License. He also has personal finance experience and a passion for helping veterans in need.

Jonathan Davis - Vice President, Principal Security Architect
Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute.  Jonathan is also a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3), with a Military Occupational Specialty of 170A – Cyber Warfare Technician. He will be in charge of all the cyber security and IT assistance. He also enjoys woodworking, 3D design, and 3D printing.

Gail Nohr is a Peer Specialist and Substance Abuse Counselor at Veterans 1st Tiny Homes Village.

Gail was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy and has been helping veterans for over 30 years. Gail worked for many years as the Brown County Veterans Service Office taking numerous calls daily from veterans in need of housing so they started Veterans 1st to offer them hope. She was also a Group Facilitator at the Veterans Shelter for one year. Currently she is a Substance Abuse Counselor IT at a local Treatment Center. She is licensed with the WI Department of Safety and Professional Services. Gail is the secretary of the Bravo Company and has been for 5 years. She was the secretary of the American Postal Workers Union in Green Bay for 10 years with 22 years working with a majority of veterans. She has been a member of the Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition for over 5 years and is on the Veterans Task Force Committee.

Jan Gertzfield - Philanthropy Director
Jan retired to her native Northeastern Wisconsin in 2017 following a lifelong career of increasing responsibility in Customer Financial Services for a large firm in Chicago, IL. She has a passion for helping people in need and, in addition to serving as our Philanthropic Director, Jan also volunteers as a facilitator for the GriefShare program at Green Bay Community Church.

Amber Edwards - Housing Programs Director
In her current role as a Housing Specialist, Amber issues both tenant and project-based housing vouchers to eligible households, with a focus on veteran services in partnership with Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing. Amber will offer supportive services and resource referrals when additional support is needed. She brings a unique combination of insight, lived experience and hope to her role with Veteran's 1st of NEW. Amber will offer support as a client specialist for those veterans who will utilize a housing voucher in their journey toward self-sufficiency. She is also on the board for the housing advocacy group Joshua.

Jim Knopf - Board Member
Currently I am a Community Volunteer, (semi-retired) – I have a bachelor's degree in business management and in social welfare. I have over 50 years in sales management, planning and development.  I'm very active with my church as an assistant minister, active in the community with the Greater Green Bay Chamber Ambassador for 12 years, Ashwaubenon Business Association (board member), Cancer Society, Howard Suamico Business Association (past President), Giving Tree, Lodging Association and now Veterans 1st.,  to name a few.

Jim Strong - Board Member
Jim is a Co-Founder of Wisconsin Veterans Village Apartment Complex. Joined Fox Valley Veterans Council, in 2007, Vice President 2008-2010, elected president in 2010, elected President 2018. Oversaw expansion of FVVC and establishment of FVVC as a 501c3 charitable corporation. During this time the FVVC under my leadership has established partnerships and collaborations with LEAVEN, COTS, and County Government. All these activities creating better support and opportunities for our community veterans.

Major General (ret) Daniel Ammerman – Board Member
Dan is retired after 39 years of military service that culminated as Commanding General responsible for organizing, manning, training, and equipping an Army organization 15,000 of military and civilians for missions throughout the world.  Deployed multiple times to include Iraq, Bosnia, and Kosovo to lead efforts with non-government agency and international partners along with the local populace to rebuild governance organizations and infrastructure at the local and provincial levels.   Retired as an accountant for Schneider Inc with 30 years of experience in analytics, accounting, finance, acquisitions, and logistics.  Licensed CPA with a Masters in Strategic Studies and Masters in Business Administration.  Currently serving as a VP on the board of the Civil Affairs Association, Board Member – Military Officers Association of Northeast Wisconsin, and leadership mentor/spokesman for Team One Mile.

Tim Day -- Board Member
Tim is a retired businessman with more than 40 years of experience in various business ventures. Over the last twenty years of his career he was a partner in a private equity firm that acquired and managed a portfolio of several successful U.S. manufacturing companies. During this time he also provided business valuation services as well as merger and acquisition and financial consulting services. Day has been involved in several non-profit organizations as a board member for the Cornerstone Foundation, Encompass Early Education and Childcare, Weyers Family Foundation, New Community Shelter Foundation, Encompass Foundation, Junior Achievement, Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, Hilliard Family Foundation, Family Violence Center and the Weyers and Hilliard Freedom Fund. He has also served as a volunteer for the Green Bay Public Market capital campaign, the Backstage at the Meyer capital campaign, Residential Care for the Developmentally Disabled, Friends of Scouting and Special Olympics.

Tom Olejniczak - Board Member
Attorney at Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry. Tom has practiced law in Green Bay since 1974. Tom’s practice expertise spans many areas of business law including business entity planning and formation, transaction negotiations, banking and finance, commercial litigation, and small business development. Tom Olson -- Board Member
Mr. Olson practiced law for eleven years in Green Bay at the firm then known as Olson, Kulkoski, Galloway and Olson, S.C.  He left his practice in 1987 to become President and CEO of U.S. Paper Mills Corp. When the company was sold to Sonoco Products Company in 2001, he served as President of Sonoco-U.S. Mills, Inc. until his retirement in 2002. From 2005 until the company was sold in 2016, he was a partner, Director and Chairman of the Board of MECA & Technology Machine, Inc. Currently, he is a partner, Director and Vice President of Metals Engineering, Inc. In 2021, Mr. Olson was elected a Director Emeritus of the Green Bay Packers, Inc. From 2006 until 2021 he served on the Packers Board of Directors. He was on the Executive Committee for the last nine years of his tenure and served as Vice President and Lead Director for his last six years. He also served terms on the Director Affairs and the Personnel and Compensation Committees, and as Chair of each. Since 2007, Mr. Olson has been a member of the Advisory Board of Belmark, Inc. Currently, he is the President and CEO of Cornerstone Foundation of Northeastern Wisconsin, Inc. and is Vice President of the Cloud Family Foundation, Inc. (formerly the U.S. Paper Mills Foundation). Previously, he served as a Director of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation and as a Trustee of the Green Bay Packers Foundation.

Tim Jorgensen -- Board Member
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting. Played professional ball for the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirate organizations (1995-1999). Baylake Bank as a Junior Loan Officer (1999-2001). Associated Bank from 2001-present (Commercial Banker 2001-2010) (Commercial Real Estate Team Leader 2010-present). Miracle League of Green Bay (Board member 2009-2018, President 2018-present).Member of the Associated Bank’s Veterans Colleague Resource Group (2022-present)

As an accomplished executive director with over three decades of dedicated service in the non-profit sector, I bring a wealth of experience and passion for making a positive impact in our community.  I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing non-profits that allows me to encourage and inspire organizations to achieve their desired outcomes.
